Information about Heidi AI
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora has approved the use of Heidi Health's ambient AI scribe technology for use by clinicians following privacy, security, and governance review processes.
At our clinic, we value being fully present with you during your treatment. We believe healing begins with listening carefully to your story, understanding your concerns, and providing personalised care.
To help us spend less time writing notes and more time focusing on you, we may use Heidi Health, a secure AI-assisted clinical note-taking tool.
With your permission, Heidi listens to the consultation and helps create a draft summary of the discussion. This allows us to listen more attentively and stay engaged in the conversation rather than typing or writing notes.
Please be assured that:
Your practitioner remains fully responsible for your care and clinical records.
All notes are reviewed, edited, and approved by your practitioner before being saved.
Heidi does not diagnose, recommend treatment, or make clinical decisions.
Privacy and Security:
Heidi has been designed for use in healthcare settings with privacy and security safeguards.
Temporary audio recordings are not stored as part of your permanent health record.
Clinical information is handled in accordance with applicable New Zealand privacy requirements.
Your consent is important.
If you would prefer that Heidi is not used during your consultation, please let your practitioner know. Your care will not be affected in any way.
